Skid Pump Units

Mertz Fire Apparatus builds skid pump units with capacities from 50 to 400 gallons. Mertz also builds higher capacity units in the 1,000 to 1,500 gallon range. Mertz provides pump systems and parts from three (3) major pump manufacturers -- Hale, Hypro, Udor. This includes Hale centrifugal pumps, Udor high pressure diaphragm pumps, and Hypro high pressure diaphragm pumps

The 1550 Hypro pump, which is a featured pump on the volume units, features cast iron construction, replaceable mechanical seals, stainless steel shaft seal, large diameter impeller, heavy duty double row ball bearings, and double O-ring leak protection. The pump has a maximum flow of 170 gallons per minute and a maximum pressure of 170 pounds per square inch. The pump meets ISO 9 requirements of at least 50 gallons per minute at 150 pounds per square inch.  Click here for more information.
 

	FC-16V1550-200 LFT The standard series of the Mertz 16V1550 standard pump systems are available with 150 to 400 gallon booster tanks. Standard features include hose, hose reel, outriggers, primer, fuel tank, plumbing and battery. The tanks are 20 years limited warranty fiberglass tanks.
	FC-16V1550-200 LFT/Foam The same as the FC-16V1550-200 LFT except with a foam proportioning system and a fresh water tank return.

	FD-9V-200 L This unit is the 9 hp version of the FD-18V FireCracker. High pressure combined with low volumes make anyone of the FireCrackers ideal for fighting fires when water is scarce.
	FD-18V-300 L This is the 18 hp version of the famous "FireCracker." With pressures of over 500 psi this is the top of the line "Wildland" firefighter. Standard tanks up to 300 gallon, but larger optional tanks are available. Engines from various engine manufacturers are also available. Optional foam systems can be installed.
